8a Certified Disadvantaged Business

As an American Indian owned company, ASA Engineering & Surveying has done extensive work with the Federal 8a Program. Designed by the Small Business Admnistration (SBA), the 8a program works with disadvantaged businesses to fulfill government contracts and stimulate the economy by helping small firms. Although the program is normally for a nine year term, ASA exceeded performance requirements to become a graduate in less than five years. SBA Mission Statement:

The SBA’s mission is to maintain and strengthen the Nation’s economy by aiding, counseling, assisting, and protecting the interests of small businesses and by helping businesses and families recover from disasters. The BD (Business Development) assists firms owned and controlled by economically and socially disadvantaged individuals enter the economic mainstream.
